Hera, wife of Zeus, was Queen of the Gods, and the goddess of the home and of the sanctity of marriage.
Originals of these miniature vases date to around the late sixth and early fifth centuries BC, are to be found in the grave hoards from the ancient Kerameikos in Athens.

The vases themselves are manufactured in Greece, the images are then applied by transfer, before being painted by hand.
