FAQ
questions and answers about shopping, shipping & stock
What courier do you use to ship within the UK?
Shipping is exclusively with DPD for a flat rate of £6 per order.
With DPD, your order is fully trackable, fully insured, and you are given an hour's delivery window on the day of delivery, which you can change if you wish to defer to another day or provide alternative delivery instructions.
What happens when I've placed an order?
A short while after you receive the 'automated email' acknowledging your order, a personal email from me will arrive.
You may expect to receive your order within two to three days. but you can always ask me to defer until it's convenient.
Help!! I can't seem to buy automatically from your website any more. I don't live in the UK. Can I still buy from you?
Absolutely YES!
Panic not!!! Although automatic ordering via the website is now only possible for customers in mainland UK (England, Wales, Scotland), I still ship all over the world.
This is how it works: just send me an email at hello@itsallgreek.co.uk with the item/s you wish to order, together with the country to which you wish them to be shipped, and your zip code. I will then research the various shipping options and prices, and get back to you. Since 2020 I've found FedEx to be the best provider in terms of customer satisfaction, but I will give you a couple of options so that you can decide.
If you are happy with the quote, then I send you an invoice for payment, which you can pay via PayPal or credit card, exactly as you would do through the website. Please read carefully the returns policy below, and in greater detail in Terms and Conditions.
It is possible to have my order gift packaged?
Absolutely. There is a space on the cart page for you to write a note to that effect. It helps me hugely (if you've purchased more than one item) if you tell me whether they are gifts for separate people!
Can I have a gift sent directly to the recipient?
Yes of course. Just put in the recipient's details in 'delivery address'. And if you forget, just email me! If you'd like me to include a gift message with it, again, just let me know.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! click here.
Where does the stock come from?
Apart from a small collection of marble sculpture which is produced in the UK, everything else on the website comes from my suppliers in Greece, with whom I've been working for over two decades. More information about them when you look at each individual product.
Is everything in stock?
Mostly yes, but if an item is one of the ongoing repertoire, then if it's sold out, it states clearly that it is out of stock. You may fill in a 'notify me when back in stock' option for that product and I will let you know when it's back in from Greece. As of April 2026 I am still getting into a rhythm of deliveries, ideally once every six to eight weeks, but it's hard to predict what sells and what doesn't at any point!
Sometimes there's a popup window saying you are 'on walkabout' and not shipping. Why?
Yes, from time to time I take some time away, and because I run It's All Greek on my own now, there's no shipping during these 'walkabout' periods. However...... subscribers to the mailing list are used to this rhythm, and will receive advanced warning and a very nice discount coupon! If you are a new visitor to the website, there will be a popup window with a slightly smaller discount and accompanying coupon code. (So it's a good idea to subscribe!)
How can I pay, if I don't want to pay through the website?
- Securely and automatically through the website (mainland UK only) via Stripe (Amex accepted) and via PayPal.
- By phone - email your phone number, and we will arrange a convenient time for a call. Or by invoice, taking you to Stripe.
- By bank transfer - IBAN and bank transfer details available on request.
Is the refund process straightforward?
If you wish to return an item, you may do so within 28 days. You will be entitled to a full refund or a replacement, if it is in stock. A returned item must be in its original condition and in its original packaging. In the unlikely event of an item being damaged when it arrives with you, a replacement will be sent, or a refund issued.
For reasons of hygiene and because it is impossible for me to verify whether they have been worn or not, I cannot offer a return or an exchange on earrings. For further details please refer to Terms and Conditions.
Do you still have a shop near the British Museum?
Not any more - not since June 2018! Apologies if you have found yourself wandering about Bloomsbury!
You used to stock lot more pottery, & huge vases and sculptures - why don't you do those any more?
Ah yes...those were the (very) golden days!!! That was when It's All Greek was based in a shop, with lots of display and storage space. Now that I am running the business on my own, from a diminutive stockroom at home, it just isn't practical or possible to stock fragile and/or very large pieces.
How do you make sure my order will be really well packed?
I pack everything myself, with great pleasure, and a lot of tender loving care! Rest assured all will arrive safely!
