Based on the tetradrachm coins that were minted during Philip of Macedon's reign, this paperweight features an image of a wreathed Zeus on the obverse and Philip riding a horse on the reverse. Philip, the father of Alexander the Great, was an expert in military strategy, reforming the Macedonian kingdom during his reign, even securing a personal victory in the Olympic games. diameter: 8cm depth: 0.6cm

about the bronzes in this collection
The bronze pieces are cast in Greece using the traditional lost wax method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in texture, patina, and colour. No two pieces are ever the same. If mounted on a marble base, it will be a black or very dark grey base. There may be a variation of some millimetres in the dimensions of the base from time to time.
