Keep Athena close to you with these little stud earrings, based on the famous Athenian silver coin of the second quarter of the 5th century BC.

Helmeted Athena is on one side (the lobe side on these studs) and her owl on the reverse. The owl is flanked by an olive branch, Athena's gift to her city, and the first three letters, in Greek, of the city Athens. This design was to remain on the coinage of Athens for centuries to come.
