Minoan rhyton with papyrus palms

The original of this rhyton dates to ca 1500BC and is now in the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion, Crete.

It is a fine example of the Natural Style of Minoan art, which was characterised by the use of plants and rocks. Papyrus lilies, native to neighbouring Egypt, were also found on Crete.
