The original Cycladic figurine, variously called a 'hedgehog' or a 'teddy bear' dates to ca 2700-2200BC and is now in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. It was excavated in Chalandriani on the island of Syros and is representative of the Keros-Syros culture.
