It’s All Greek expands into stylish Bloomsbury shop

It’s All Greek, the exclusive source for top quality Greek artefacts, has celebrated its third anniversary in a new home – the refurbished Museum Gallery in Bloomsbury.

With its extensive range of gifts and interior accessories, this stylish gallery will also be a welcome landmark for collectors of decorative art. Whether you are searching for that elusive, single, statement piece for your home or for a special present, exquisitely packaged, - which you will certainly find nowhere on the high street, - you will be spoilt for choice at It's All Greek. There is, throughout, an intelligent cohesion, embracing a rich variety of textures, forms and media – sheer elegance and warmth combined with visual delight.

It’s All Greek is the brainchild of Elinor Wynne Lloyd, an Oxford graduate in Classics and an experienced and passionate teacher of Classics, with a lifelong enthusiasm for the ancient world. As with all things Greek, there is a story. At the age of thirteen, Welsh-speaking Elinor was taken by her parents on the holiday of a lifetime, a Swan Hellenic cruise to Greece. There the love affair began.

Years later, motivated by a desire to promote the work of the very best craftsmen in Greece today, www.itsallgreek.co.uk was launched. Through the website and at quality retail events in London, Elinor has cultivated a discerning worldwide clientele of private and corporate clients and interior designers. She has advised on and supplied artefacts for the epic productions ‘Troy’ and ‘Alexander’, to be released in 2004, and has pieces on hire to the Royal Court Theatre. Finally, It’s All Greek has a permanent location.

These products are something very special indeed. There is quality, variety and versatility; bronzes have been individually cast, marble individually carved, vases individually hand-painted. There are helmets and bowls, griffins and horses, statues and figurines, masks, columns, and a range of jewellery. There are architectural bookends, Latin inscriptions and large-scale sculpture for gardens, all in harmony with Elinor’s vision of combining ancient inspiration with contemporary style.

The carefully selected team of craftsmen and artists are the very best in their fields and are committed to the ethos of It’s All Greek, where Elinor’s background as an educator is reflected in the lively and enlightened descriptions of the pieces on display. In a world of transient trends, It's All Greek is an oasis of timeless elegance. There’s nothing quite like it.
